Highmark donates protective equipment to Wood County Schools

PARKERSBURG - Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield West Virginia has announced a donation of personal protective equipment for Wood County Schools students and staff.

On Wednesday, Highmark President James Fawcett met with Wood County Schools Superintendent Will Hosaflook to announce the donation.

The donations will include face masks, face shields, hand sanitizer, and disinfectant wipes. The donations are intended to supplement equipment already being provided through Wood County Schools. 

Highmark is headquartered in Parkersburg and is Partners in Education with Franklin Elementary Center. 

Similar donations are being made to all of West Virginia’s 55 county-based school systems, Fawcett said.
