WCS creates parent newsletter
PARKERSBURG - Wood County Schools has created a weekly newsletter to keep parents and community members updated during the coming school year.
The first newsletter was published Friday as a downloadable PDF and can be found at https://5il.co/kla5 or by going to the district’s website at www.woodcountyschoolswv.com and looking under Menu: Our District: WCS Newsletters. A link to the newsletter also will be sent out every Friday through the Wood County Schools app and Live Feed.
Superintendent Will Hosaflook said the first newsletter gives parents information and encouragement for next week’s start to the school year, but later editions also will be used to showcase the district’s hardworking students and staff.
“To successfully tackle this school year, it is even more important for us to get clear, concise information out to parents,” he said. “The newsletter also will give us the opportunity to talk about some of the wonderful things that are happening every day in Wood County Schools.”
The first edition of the newsletter focuses on the start of school and the district’s blended learning model, as well as links to state and local information concerning COVID-19.
