Wood BOE meets Tuesday


PARKERSBURG - The Wood County Board of Education will meet Tuesday (June 8 2021) in regular session.

The meeting begins at 6 p.m. at the Wood County Schools Central Office at 1210 13th Street in Parkersburg, W.Va. The meeting is open to the public, though seating is limited due to social distancing and masks are required. The meeting will be broadcast online through Zoom.

Wood County Schools will begin the meeting with recognition of students completing I-Ready lessons, the 2021 Golden Horseshoe winners, and Williamstown Elementary School as a 2020 National Blue Ribbon School.

In addition to approving personnel changes and contracts, the board will consider suspension of an employee and creating a Director of Secondary Education position. 

The board also will receive and update on summer projects.
