Wood BOE to hold public forum Wednesday on federal funds
PARKERSBURG - The Wood County Board of Education will hold a public hearing Wednesday (July 21, 2021) to receive community feedback on the spending of federal pandemic relief funds.
The public forum will begin at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the auditorium at Blennerhassett Elementary/Middle School. The first hour will be a presentation on possible use of Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) funds.
Though board members will be in attendance to receive information, the board will take no action during Wednesday’s meeting.
Each speaker will have up to 5 minutes to address the board. Speakers are asked to keep all questions and comments related to the ESSER funding.
The presentation and public comments are the only items on Wednesday’s agenda.
