Blennerhassett Cross Country ran in the Elizabeth S. Broughton Memorial Invitational yesterday. The boys took 1st place, the girls tied for 3rd, we had a couple medal finisher, several ran their first middle school race, and every returning runner improved their time from last year by 40 seconds to 2.5 minutes!
Congratulations to Gatlin McLain for winning the Middle School Boys race in 11:50 (55 second improvement) and Jalyn Eddy for her 6th place finish in 13:51 (40 second improvement.)
Most improved from last year on this course goes to Allison C.(2 mins 31 seconds) and Carter S. (1 min 9 seconds).
Most improved from last week's 2 mile race goes to Braylee B. (1 min 51 seconds) and Austin (1 min 28 seconds).
Shout out to Jansen D. for his display of grit and perseverance as he ran almost the entire course with one shoe, and still finished 15th (out of 75).
