Congratulations to our very own 5th grader, Addison Thorpe! Addison recently competed in the Western Regional Math Field Day competition against 23 other 5th graders in Mental Math Estimation, Mental Math Exact, and a 40 question written exam to be completed in one hour. Addison scored 1st place and was awarded Top Scorer for the 5th grade! Last year she also took first place and top scoring honors for 4th grade.
Addison will be attending the West Virginia State Math Field Day competition in April where last year she was awarded 5th place. Her goal this year is to get into the Top 3.
Addison is coached by Mrs. Cunningham. Way to go Addison and best of luck at States!
