🛌✨ Tips to Help Your Child Rise, Shine, and Be On Time!
***Class starts at 8 AM***

Getting back into school mode can be tough—but a few small changes now can make a BIG difference in your child’s morning (and yours)!

🌙 Start the Routine Early (Even Before School Starts!)
*Begin bedtime and wake-up routines 1–2 weeks before school starts.
*Gradually shift bedtime earlier by 10–15 minutes each night.
*Try to wake them up at 6:30–6:45 AM so mornings don’t feel rushed.

📅 Prep the Night Before
*Lay out clothes, pack lunches/snacks, and fill backpacks before bed.
*Set a designated “launch pad” by the door for shoes, water bottles, folders, etc.
Let kids help choose outfits or pack their bag so they feel ownership!

📵 Limit Screens Before Bed
*Avoid tablets, phones, or TV at least 30–60 minutes before bed to help their brains wind down.
*Try reading a book or playing calming music instead.

⏰ Use Visual or Audio Cues
*Use a simple checklist or a picture schedule (especially helpful for younger students).
*Set a “get moving” playlist or timer in the morning for brushing teeth, getting dressed, and grabbing bags!

🧸 Make Mornings Positive
*Give extra hugs, praise their independence, and celebrate being ready on time!
*Avoid rushing when possible—it can cause anxiety or meltdowns. A calm start leads to a calmer day.

☀️ Remember: 8:00 AM is Go Time!
*Doors open at 7:30 AM (free breakfast served in cafe for Grades 2-5)
*Students are released to classrooms at 7:50 AM (free breakfast served in classrooms for PreK-grade 1)
*Instruction starts at 8:00 AM—they need to be in their seats, ready to learn!

First day for K-12 is Aug. 20. Prek begins Aug. 25.
