Welcome to Jefferson Elementary Center!

We serve grades PreK-5 in the Wood County School District. JEC is focused on providing our students with a nurturing and caring environment. We are a PBIS school and follow the Responsive Classroom model. Responsive Classroom is a student-centered, social and emotional learning approach to teaching and discipline. JEC also follows the mindset that all students CAN and WILL learn. Equally, we follow the Jaguar Pledge:

I will work hard and I'm ready to succeed."

We want our students to understand the importance of caring for our school, community, and each other. We also encourage family and stakeholder support and offer numerous opportunities for parent trainings through open communication and participation in their student's growth and development.
