Wood County Schools is pleased to provide families with access to their students' 2026 West Virginia General Summative Assessment (GSA) results.

Students have received an email in their Wood County Schools student email account containing a personalized link to access their GSA score reports. Parents and guardians are encouraged to work with their child to retrieve the email and review the results together.

The score report provides detailed information about your child's performance and can help identify academic strengths as well as areas for continued growth.

If your child cannot locate the email or is experiencing difficulty accessing their score report, please contact your child's school for assistance.

We encourage all families to review these results and discuss them with their child as part of supporting continued academic success.

Attention parents, guardians, students and staff.  Due to an issue in our parking lot, please refrain from parking close to the emergency cones at the corner that turns right to the football field stairway.  This area will be clearly marked. We need the area to remain clear for safety purposes and for the repair crew to have access.  Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Good evening, Jackson parents, students, and staff. This is Mr. Echard with a message about the General Summative Assessment testing for this week. Students will begin testing on Tuesday morning and test through Friday.

Parents please help us with the following items as it will be beneficial for your student.

First, students need to arrive on time at 7:55am for the start of the day. Testing will begin at 8:15am. It is important they are well rested and ready to go so they can do their best on these assessments.

Second, please be sure that your students iPad is fully charged each morning so that they can use it on the exam. Students can choose to leave their iPads at school to charge Monday evening so they are ready to go Tuesday morning.

Third, please help us stress the importance of this assessment. It will help us determine what they have learned throughout the year and will benefit them in scheduling for the upcoming year.

Lastly, it is important students understand that having any other device with them during testing is not acceptable and can invalidate the test. These items need to be placed in their lockers per county and school policy.

Thank you for your help during this time! We look forward to seeing how well our students do this year on the GSA! We hope you have a wonderful evening and Let's Go Generals!

Due to snowy and icy conditions impacting a significant portion of the southern part of Wood County, Wood County Schools will now be closed today, Tuesday, March 17, 2026. While some areas of the county may not be experiencing the same conditions, roadways in other areas remain hazardous. Because our buses and families travel across many different communities and road conditions, this decision was made to prioritize the safety of all students and staff throughout the entire county. We appreciate your understanding as we work to ensure everyone can travel safely.
