School bus safety is an important part of keeping students safe each day, and Wood County Schools is committed to making safety its highest priority.
On Thursday, October 1, students at Lubeck Elementary School took part in a lesson focused on safe bus practices. Students learned important reminders about riding the bus safely, following directions from their bus driver and understanding how to stay safe when getting on and off the bus.
With thousands of Wood County students traveling to and from school each day, safe transportation requires everyone to do their part. Students, parents, drivers and motorists all play an important role in ensuring school buses remain a safe way for students to travel.
Wood County Schools appreciates the dedication of its transportation staff and bus drivers who work each day to safely transport students. Student safety is, and will always remain, our highest priority.

Thank you for a great start to the school year as I see everyone working hard and doing a wonderful job. We also are making sure that everyone’s safety is a priority, thus the dismissal on Lubeck Road, which I know can cause some issues. To help minimize these please try and keep from lining up no earlier than 2:40 as buses are trying to get in line for dismissal and the road can get very tight for traffic. Also, when lining up on Lubeck Road please start the line at the flashing light as we have visitors that are still in the building and need to be able to get out of the parking lot. I truly appreciate everyone’s help with this matter. Have a wonderful evening.

Students have received an email in their Wood County Schools student email account containing a personalized link to access their GSA score reports. Parents and guardians are encouraged to work with their child to retrieve the email and review the results together.
The score report provides detailed information about your child's performance and can help identify academic strengths as well as areas for continued growth.
If your child cannot locate the email or is experiencing difficulty accessing their score report, please contact your child's school for assistance.
We encourage all families to review these results and discuss them with their child as part of supporting continued academic success.
