Wood County Schools would like to thank you for your support and dedication and wish you a joyous holiday season. Schools will be closed beginning Thursday, December 22nd. Schools will reopen on Tuesday, January 3rd. Wishing you good health and peace in the upcoming New Year.

Our Lady Jacket Basketball Team has their season opener tonight against Tyler County at WHS. JV will play at 6 and Varsity around 7:00. All evening GIRLS varsity games will begin at 7:00 this season.
Doors for all evening high school basketball games will open at 5:15. Tickets can be pre-purchased on our Go Fan site or at the gate with a credit/debit card. Cash tickets are $6.00 for everyone. All-Sports Passes are also still available on our GoFan site and in the athletic office at WMHS.

You can use a credit/debit card at the gate but it does take longer to enter.
We will be taking a student fan bus to the game. High school students can sign up to ride the bus tomorrow. They must have already purchased at ticket to the game in order to reserve a seat. Middle school students will be able to reserve seats starting on Wednesday. They will also need a pre-purchased ticket. The bus will depart at 4:45 and will return around 10:30.
Additional Notes and Restrictions:
1. Fan parking is in the Wheeling Downs parking lot across the street from the stadium. It is free.
2. Our stands will also be on this side (opposite of the press box).
3. Spectator filming is not allowed.
4. Tents and umbrellas are not allowed.
5. No food or beverages can be brought into the stadium.
6. Buddy Heaters are NOT permitted.
7. Confetti/shredded paper is not allowed.
8. You cannot use amplified horns of any kind.
9. Spectators will NOT be allowed onto the field after the game.
10. No bags or backpacks will be permitted inside the stadium.
11. There will be security checks at all gates.

Good evening from Wood County Schools. As we honor the men and women who have served our country, we would like to remind you that schools will be closed tomorrow, November 11th, in observance of Veterans Day.

Tickets for volleyball can be purchased at the civic center. Cash will be accepted. Reminder: Students riding the fan bus need to bring $20 to the middle school gym lobby tomorrow between 3:45 and 5:45. Price includes ticket and transportation.

We would like to remind you that Wood County Schools will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday, November 8th as our school buildings will be used for election day voting centers. Schools will reopen Wednesday morning. We hope you have a nice evening.


We will have fan buses going to watch the girls 1st round of volleyball action this Wednesday. The buses will leave at 8:30, and will return around 2:00. Students will need to take money to eat at Civic Center. The price is $20, which covers the transportation and ticket. The students can pay today during school, or Mrs. Bryant will come in tomorrow to the middle school office from 3:45 - 5:45. The Civic Center has to have final count by 6:00pm is the reason for the time.
