Halloween Parade K-5
All students will go outside for the parade and may wear costumes. Students in K-2 will walk around the track. Students in 3-5 will walk a half-lap and then be spectators on the outdoor classroom side of the field.

Parents may stand inside the track-along the fence on the street side. All students will be on the other side (left) of the track.

After the parade, the students who returned the form, stating that they were being signed out, will stand with a teacher at the grade level cone. Parents will go to the cone and sign out from the teacher.

If the students did not return the paper saying they were leaving at that time, the students will be sent back to the classroom, and the parent will be sent to the office to sign them out. This will take time and parents should be prepared to wait. Ms. Cheryl will not begin calling classrooms until the grade-level has returned to the building from outside.

Your cooperation means everything and is much appreciated! It allows us to open events to families and follow safety protocols.

We are going to move the PK Halloween parade inside because of the rain tomorrow.

Parents are to come through the door that K-5 students come through in the morning (in the front) beside the gym around 1:15. The PK aides will help direct parents when they enter the building.

If your child is in Mr. Frazier's and Mrs. Joy's class, you will be lining up in the cafeteria. If your child is in Mrs. Morgan's or Mrs. Shawver's class, you will be on the right side of the gym. Parents, please stay in the cafeteria or the gym.

The PK students will walk 1 lap. The lap will include the gym and the cafeteria. Parents may sign their child out after the parade.

Parent / Teacher Conference Information should be coming home today or tomorrow. Conferences are on Monday, November 10. The paper says November 10 at the top, however, in the information below it says November 4. I didn't catch that when I was updating the letter. Sorry for any confusion.

We will be sharing discipline data, information about our PBIS program and tiered behavior interventions. We will also share some information about Senate Bill 199 (Teacher's Right to Exclude Students for Disruptive Behavior). If you have specific questions, please email Ms. Dixon.

Unfortunately, we did not get enough volunteers for Fall Festival. The event is being cancelled. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We will be sending home raffle tickets next week for our themed baskets. We are planning a school day event for all students in the near future. The WVU basket was donated by Hall Financial Giving Foundation and contains 4 tickets to the November 8 game! Raffle information will come home next week.

Families,
Fall Festival is scheduled for this Sunday afternoon from 2:00-4:00. This is always a fun event for our students! Everything will be indoors, so weather won't interfere. As of this afternoon, we only have enough volunteers to run 6 games. We have 20 different activities. If we do not get additional volunteers, there is a strong possibility that the event will be cancelled. Please help out if you can. Text Miranda @ 304-588-3928.

Students who do not have a dentist or have not been to a dentist in a year or longer can participate.
All insurances are billed, including Medicaid. Sliding scale fee if no insurance. No student will be turned down for the inability to pay.
Students can not participate without signed parental consent. Since it takes place during school hours, parents do not need to be present for their child to participate.
