Please join us in supporting hurricane victims. This is a great opportunity to teach our students about the importance of helping strangers.

Our Color Run will be on Friday, starting at 12:45. If you did not receive information on Friday you should receive it today. Williamstown Bank is sponsoring the event and has volunteers coming, but we could use a few more. Volunteers will need to have a background check. If you can help out Friday afternoon, please email me at lcumpsto@k12.wv.us.

Homecoming Information The weather may cause a change in parade plans. The final decision will be made tomorrow at 3:00. If the weather for Friday looks bad and the weather for Thursday looks good. The parade will be rescheduled. We will follow the same procedure on Thursday that we have planned on Friday. Also, to clarify, if you marked car pick-up for Friday, we are anticipating that you are picking your child up early for the parade. Parents will not need to come in the office to sign your children out. Just go through the car line like we normally do at dismissal. Your children will be in the gym and we will send them out when your pick up number is called. If you have not returned your Homecoming Plan form to school, please do so. This will help things run smoother for everyone on parade day :)

I made a mistake when I said that it was the cheerleaders selling the tattoos. It will be the Jackettes. They can not be purchased ahead of time. The girls will be here Friday to sell them. If you send money in, please place it in an envelope or baggie with your child's name.

Please be mindful of your speed when you are on Caroline Avenue to drop off or pick up your child in the prek parking lot. We have students who walk to and from school and who play in that area. We want to make sure everyone is safe.

Families, Please do not park and pick up students in the bus loop. This interferes with the driver's routine. Parent pickups are to use the parent pick up line in front of the school.

The new mulch has arrived. Ray is busy spreading piles on the playground. If you have a pitchfork, rake, or shovel then come on over and help spread! The sooner we get it spread, the sooner the kids can play on the new equipment. You are welcome to spread anytime today or this evening. Just sign in the office. Volunteers may also help out tomorrow.

We have been made aware of false information circulating on social media stating that Williamstown Elementary and Williamstown Middle/High School are on lockdown. This information is **not true**. There is no lockdown at either school, and all operations are proceeding as normal.
