Dear Emerson Families,
We are excited to announce that we will be revealing the winners of our Science Fair during tomorrow's Morning Meeting! Students have worked incredibly hard on their projects, and we can’t wait to celebrate their efforts and achievements together as a student body.

Good morning Emerson parents,
Nurse Fran would like to remind families that, as the weather gets colder, it is important to make sure our students are dressed appropriately for school. Classroom temperatures can vary so carrying a jacket or hoodie may benefit students in addition to their coats.
We have received a donation of winter coats. If your child could use a new coat, please call Nurse Fran at 304-420-9528.

🎈 Balloons Over Broadway Project 🎈
Last week our kindergarten through second-grade students completed an exciting project during STEAM class,. After reading Balloons Over Broadway, the true story of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and the inventor of its iconic balloons, our students got creative making their very own parade floats and balloons! 🦸♀️🎨🛠️
This marks our 4th year doing this project, and it’s always a favorite among our young learners. The smiles and excitement as they saw their creations come to life were priceless.
We have linked the 3 Videos below for you to enjoy.
Happy Thanksgiving!

-Children are to bring their costumes in their backpack we will assist them with putting them on as needed before walking to the track. Please, no face paint or full-face masks. Please make sure your child wears something that allows their costume to go over it.
-Please keep small pieces to costumes at home so that they do not get lost. Accessories that include a knife, gun, or other weapon are not permitted at school.
-Each grade will make one lap around the track and then they will watch the other grades before making the final lap with all students.
-You are welcome to take photos during the parade. Please be aware of children in the background when posting photos on social media. We do have children that do not have permission to be posted on social media for safety reasons.
