STARS is a community service group composed of both high school and middle school students who have a heart for those in need. Please help them reach their goal!
Williamstown Middle High school has partnered with Prevent Suicide West Virginia, West Virginia’s statewide suicide prevention program, and Westbrook Health Services to support our students around this important topic. The first session is tomorrow for our seniors. Interstate Studios had some issues this past Friday and were unable to do picture re-takes. They now will be coming this Wednesday, Nov. 10 between 9:00 -12:30 PM to complete the pictures.
Graduation Date has now been moved to Sunday, May 22nd at 3:00 PM.

8th and 9th grade families: TOMORROW, Wednesday, Oct. 27 your student will be taking the digital PSAT. Please make sure students arrive by 7:45am on their test day, bring their fully charged IPADS, pencils for scratch work, and mask up. Report to the middle school office if you do not know your testing location.
The FAFSA workshop is Tuesday, Oct. 26 from 5:00-8:00. Enter at the back of the school through Door #20 and proceed to Room 145. If you plan to arrive after 7, please notify Ms. Justice. PSAT for 8th and 9th graders has been moved to October 27th!
WMHS: Picture re-takes on Oct. 26 will now be for SENIORS only. Underclassmen retakes will be rescheduled after the original pictures are able to be viewed by families.
Here are a few reminders as we get towards the end of the first nine weeks:
- 1. Grades close this Friday, Oct. 22, Report Cards will be issued on Nov. 1
- 2. 0 period is available daily from 7:45 - 8:15am. If a student has a D/F, or missing tests or multiple assignments, a teacher can require them to come in, and it does become disciplinary issue if they do not attend.
- Oct. 26 is make-up picture day
- Nov. 1 there will be a career fair at the school for seniors.
At Thursday night's middle school football game, the Yellowjackets will face the Marietta Tigers under the lights at Don Drum Field. The game begins at 7 p.m.
MHS does not take cash at the gate for tickets. Spectators can pay with credit/debit cards at the gate, or pre-pay at this link: https://www.mariettacityschools.k12.oh.us/page/athletics. The button for game tickets is the third event on the right. On a phone it is at the bottom, third event under the other athletics information. Tickets are $2 for students, and $5 for adults.
WMHS: The PSAT testing for 8th and 9th grade students scheduled for tomorrow has been postponed until next week. There has been some technology issues with the testing vendor that is being worked on currently. Students will now report and follow their normal school day schedule.
The Counseling Department is hosting a College Fair at the school on November 8 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. Stay tuned for more details!
8th and 9th grade families: NEXT Wednesday, Oct. 20 your student will be taking the digital PSAT. Please make sure students arrive by 7:45am on their test day, bring their fully charged IPADS, and pencils. Students will take the test in their first period classroom (If they do not have math, English, history, or science during first period they will be directed to a core subject teacher's classroom.)
TOMORROW, Wednesday, October 13, 10th grade students will be taking the PSAT-NMSQT test. Arrive to school by 7:45am on Wednesday and go to the middle school gym. Make sure to eat a nutritious breakfast beforehand. Bring #2 pencils (not mechanical), wear your mask, and come ready to do your best! Leave behind any phones, watches, or tablets - devices are not allowed in the testing room. A drink and snack are allowed during breaks. Thank you!
