Wood County Schools will be canceling TREK this week due to staffing issues. Therefore, buses will not transport students that attend Franklin Elementary for TREK grades 3-5. Wood County Schools' internet provider has a fiber line down between Charleston and Parkersburg. Their crews are on site and there is no ETA on when the line will be repaired. With that being said, there is a possibility that the internet may be out tomorrow at all WCS locations if the line is not repaired in time. Details will be shared as soon as we get them.

Wood County Schools: Distribution of Wi-Fi hotspots to qualifying families will end at 3 p.m. April 15. Information on end-of-year collection of hotspots will be released in the coming weeks. All hotspots must be returned by the end of the 2021-22 school year.
This is a reminder that the Eagles Choir (4th/5th grade), the Music Makers (4th/5th grade after school group), and Mallet Mania (3rd grade after school group) will be performing for our spring concert next Tuesday, April 12 at 6:00 PM. Students participating should be at the school by 5:45. Eagles Choir members need to wear their choir shirts. The after school groups can wear whatever they wore to school that day – nothing special is required. This is our final concert of the year. If you have questions, call Mrs. Laird at the school at 304-420-9528, e-mail her at slaird@k12.wv.us, or call her on her cell phone at 304-482-4948. If you child is in one of these groups and cannot be at the concert, please let Mrs. Laird know as soon as possible. This is especially important for Music Makers, because it is a very small group this year and we don’t have double coverage on instrument parts.
