Wood BOE meets Tuesday
PARKERSBURG - The Wood County Board of Education will meet Tuesday (March 9, 2021) in regular session.
The meeting begins at 6 p.m. in the Bailey Board Room at Wood County Schools Central Office at 1210 13th Street in Parkersburg, W.Va. The meeting is open to the public, though seating is limited due to social distancing and masks are required. The meeting will be broadcast online through Zoom.
The board will receive a presentation from Wood County Schools Curriculum and Instruction Department on this year’s summer school programs. The board also will receive an update on the district’s tobacco cessation program and a schedule of proposed levy rates for fiscal year 2022.
The board will be asked to approve multiple change orders and certificates of substantial completion for construction and renovation projects. The board also will consider two employee suspensions and converting June 7 to an instructional day for the 2020-21 school year.
