Wood County Schools is aware that questions have been raised within the community regarding Lifetouch, a company that provides student photography services for some of our schools. At this time, there is no verified evidence of wrongdoing by Lifetouch involving student photographs. We want to be clear that we have not received any confirmed information indicating improper conduct. We understand, however, that families may still have questions, and we take those concerns seriously.
Photography providers vary by school across the district. For spring picture sessions, participation is voluntary, and families who prefer not to utilize Lifetouch services may choose to opt out.
District leadership will continue reviewing any credible information should it arise and will make informed decisions regarding photography services for the upcoming school year.
Families who wish to inquire about or request removal of their child’s information may contact Lifetouch directly. The company provides details regarding its privacy practices and data removal procedures through its official website and customer service channels.
Wood County Schools remains committed to student safety, protecting privacy, and maintaining transparency with our families and community.
