Wood BOE meets Tuesday

 

PARKERSBURG - The Wood County Board of Education will meet Tuesday in regular session at Williamstown Middle High School. 

The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24, at the WMHS auditorium in Williamstown. The meeting is open to the public and will be streamed online. 

The meeting will begin with numerous recognitions, including the Williamstown High School Football Team as the 2022 Class A State Football Champions, employees named Wood County Schools Heroes for going above and beyond for the safety and well-being of others, and Adam Kinzy for his outstanding valor and exemplary vigilance in keeping safe an individual involved in a car accident.

Cathy Grewe, Coordinator of Assessment and Student Services, and Brian Sprague, a counselor at Parkersburg High School, will present a National School Counseling Week proclamation.

Superintendent Christie Willis and Mark Welch, PE Construction Engineer Project Manager, will provide an update on the Williamstown Middle High School bleachers.

The board will vote on an unpaid suspension of an employee and on an unpaid suspension and termination of an employee.
